The Putnam County Community Thrift Store (PCCTS) is in need of volunteers to recycle items not sold at the downtown store. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in this monthly activity. The next opportunity to participate is September 7, 2024 from 8:30AM to 11:30AM. The recycling takes place at the PCCTS warehouse located in Ottawa on Second Street at the Fairgrounds. To get to the warehouse enter the Fairgrounds at gate #5 and proceed South, and then turn right into the alley past the first building. At the end of the alley is a large open area, the PCCTS warehouse is on the left.
The warehouse is not heated or air conditioned. Please wear proper clothing to keep you comfortable and safe while tearing apart items. Work gloves are highly recommended. If you have tools to remove nuts, bolts, and screws, bring them along. Battery operated drill/drivers are a good tool to use. If you do not have tools, PCCTS has tools available for you to use.
If you have questions, call or email Tim Macke, 419-969-0211, macketim@gmail.com.
Thanks for considering our needs.
